Economic Development

The Salina Town Board is proud of the economic development that continues to be taking hold in Salina. With Supervisor Mark Nicotra's call for a more business friendly Town, business owners appear to be responding. Over the past year, businesses like Tim Horton’s and Dunkin Donuts have opened their locations in the Town of Salina.

In addition to the several hotels located within the Town of Salina, the Holiday Inn on Electronics Parkway has added Staybridge Suites to their expansion. The hotel offers amenities that give guests the comforts and warmth of home along with the conveniences of the office, while offering extended stays.

In place of the old Galeville Grocery building will be a new Byrne Dairy, and it is going to be structured to look much like the former Galeville building. The project is slated for completion in late summer.

The Buckley Road Senior Apartments are well on their way to completion. The complex’s first phase, located on Buckley Road just north of the New York State Thruway, is expected to be completed in the fall of 2011. For more information on the Buckley Road Senior Apartments, call (315) 277-0889.

Supervisor Mark Nicotra says, "With our new business friendly attitude and the investment we are making in our infrastructure, Salina continues to be open for business."
