Economic Development
The Salina Town Board is proud of the "mini" economic boom that appears to be taking hold in Salina. With Supervisor Mark Nicotra's call for a more business friendly Town, business owners appear to be responding. Over the past year, large businesses like Southern Wine & Spirits, Bitzer Scroll, and Paychex have either opened or announced their locating in the Town of Salina. The Holiday Inn on Electronics Park has also announced a $20 million expansion that will include an extended stay hotel and larger conference space. Other smaller businesses, like Steak & Sundae, Domino's Pizza, and Colonial Laundromat have also joined the business community in Salina.
"The investment of millions of dollars in Salina and the creation of hundreds of new jobs here will have a long lasting impact to the Town," said Nicotra. "I'm truly gratified that steps we are taking to make Salina a great place to do business are taking hold."
"With our new business friendly attitude and the investment we are making in our infrastructure, Salina is truly open for business," concluded Nicotra.
